Our corporate core values are massively important to the health and success of Brooks International. We recently revised and reestablished our five corporate core values. These are:

  • Integrity above all
  • Client-centric
  • All commitments achieved sustainably
  • Business results required
  • Respected, engaged and fulfilled employees

We work hard to instill these values in each and every one of our employees and encourage our team to demonstrate them daily. They are not only displayed on our website, but also featured prominently in our company newsletter and discussed frequently at company-wide and leadership meetings.

We adore and appreciate everybody here. Fellowship among our staff is huge. The familial tendencies in our company are absolutely spot on, but we always keep top of mind that these are really stringent situations that people are facing on the client side. Our clients need our leadership, so we can’t turn it off and on. It must be on all the time. The standard is high when it comes to demonstrating these five values. We’re not like the other companies out there. They are watered down in terms of their approach. We’re not one of those process consulting firms. We are an elite, global professional services company focusing on the execution of our client’s strategic imperatives — delivering sustained economic value as well as sustainable, measurable improvements. That idea is embraced by us all.

I would like to cover our five values more in depth here in our blog over the next couple months, starting with integrity above all. I want to make sure everyone knows what that signifies. I’m sure you’ve heard the phrase, “actions speak louder than words,” and that is what it comes down to. We are the brand. We represent Brooks International. We need to represent the firm with what we are professing to our clients. It’s not how we look or what we say but more about what we do … especially when nobody else is around. As a company, we are guided by the highest standards of ethical business conduct and we treat our employees, clients, vendors and partners with respect and dignity.

Honesty and trust are central to integrity. Those who demonstrate integrity draw others to them because they are trustworthy and dependable. It takes having the courage to do the right thing no matter what. Building a reputation of integrity can take years, but it only takes a few seconds to lose. We never lose sight of that. The concept of integrity is not talked about nearly enough because we live in a world where “the end justifies the means,” and that is not what we stand for at Brooks International.

Dishonesty may provide instant gratification in the moment but it will not last. The value of the trust others have in you is far greater than anything that can be measured. The value of trust means that you have an army of people that are willing to go the extra mile to help you because they know that recommending you to others will never bring damage to their own reputation of integrity. This will give you limitless opportunities and endless possibilities. Gaining this trust will enable you to make commitments and put forth effort with consistency. This will improve your level of competency that in turn will result in earned respect, professional development and success.

In my next post, I’ll talk about how Brooks International is client-centric, putting our clients and their missions first. Thank you for reading and please check back often for more insights into Brooks International.
